You can tell good places to fish on the beach by identifying waves and sandbars. Sand bars cause troughs or fish highways where lots of crustaceans and smaller food is trapped and easily fed on. kicking off our latest batch of Florida footage with some fresh water fishing tonight! our latest discovery with the #squidybits was very surprising 😂 but the bass couldn’t resist! @senko.erin and i had a ton of fun fishing together so I hope you all enjoy it as much as we did 🙃

we had to work hard to find the fish these past two weeks! Just when you think you begin to figure out a fishing spot, the seasons turn and everything changes 😩 & it’s tough to keep up sometimes! We arrived in Florida and got skunked for almost a week straight before we were able to hit a few fish and get some episodes filmed. We were lucky to find some fish toward the end of our trip and have some REALLY fun episodes lined up for the next two weeks— but now time to chase some STRIPES back home! 👍🏼

Trout in the morning, trout at supper time! Hooked up to these keepers a couple days ago and enjoyed them baked with lemon & veggies & some local mayport shrimp I picked up on the way home! Yum yum yum 😋

FINISH THIS SENTENCE: “I can’t go to the beach without my __________!” Traveling light is essential when you’re constantly moving around and hopping spots. This trip we have been searching the beaches for pompano and learning what gear is absolutely essential. I’m loving these 11 ft rods paired with these sweet sand spikes I just picked up. A few pompano so far this trip, which we have been grateful for, but pretty slow fishing for the most part.

it’s been a while since we had pompano for dinner 😋🍽 so buttery and delicious 🤤 Now we are itching to get on some more! The #supersaltysquid got ‘em this time! Guess which one of us caught the bigger fish? 😂
